How It Works: Design Visit to Lights On

Four steps, one point of contact. Here’s what happens from the moment you reach out to the night you turn your lights on for the first time.

  1. Step 1

    Free design visit

We come to your home, look at the roofline and talk through how you want to use the lights.

We walk around the house, look at the fascia and trim, find where power can come from and talk about which parts of the roof you want lit. You tell us what matters most: the holidays, curb appeal, security or all of it.

We bring a sample of the track so you can see how it looks against your own trim.

  2. Step 2

    Custom layout and quote

Every run is measured, and you get a clear written quote.

Rooflines have peaks, corners and breaks that a tape measure from the ground can’t capture. We measure each run carefully and note anything that needs special handling.

You get a written quote that lists the runs, the lights, the track color and the controller, along with an expected timeline. No pressure to decide on the spot.

  3. Step 3

    Professional installation

Our crew installs the track, lights and controller.

On install day, the crew mounts the track along your roofline, fits the lights, runs the wiring and connects the controller. Many homes are done in a day.

We test every run before we leave and clean up when we’re done.

  4. Step 4

    Lights-on walkthrough

We set up the app and show you how everything works.

We connect the controller to your Wi-Fi, set up the app on your phone, and build your first scenes and schedules with you: warm white for every night, plus the holidays you care about.

If you have questions later, you call the same number you called the first time.

Getting ready for your design visit

None of this is required, but it helps us give you a better recommendation.

  • Think about how you’d use the lights: holidays, everyday curb appeal, game days, security or all of them.
  • Decide which parts of the house matter most: the front, the whole roofline, a garage or a shop.
  • If you’re in an HOA, have your architectural guidelines handy.
  • Know where your garage and attic outlets are, if any.
  • Have a rough idea of your timeline.

Process questions

Is the design visit really free?

Yes. The design visit and your written quote are free, and you’re under no obligation.

How long does installation take?

Many single-family homes are installed in a day. Larger homes, complex rooflines and commercial buildings can take longer. We give you an expected timeline with your quote.

Do I need to be home for the installation?

Someone needs to be there at the start to give access to power and at the end for the walkthrough, where we set up the app and show you how everything works.
